Day XI

Day eleven was very hard to get through. I received some sad news from my parents first thing in the morning and it was hard to get up and do anything. I got myself to the theater and worked in the dressing room on some sketches. I found it hard to focus because of everything going on. I just lost a family member and I was supposed to perform in a few hours. I didn’t think I could do it. A majority of my sketches just ended in me scribbling over the paper out of anger. The only thing I was able to draw was my grandfather. He was the most inspiring person in my life. He lived a full life and faced incredible challenges, I hope to move through life with the amount of kindness and grace he did. If I learned anything from him it was to love life and love those around you. I wish he could have seen me graduate but I know he is looking down on me and is proud of all I have done at Proctor.
